Anthem Student Ministries Hosts “Light the Way” 5K Run

You won’t want to miss the opportunity to support Butterfield Church’s Anthem Student Ministries in Van Buren, Arkansas as they raise money for a student-initiated, volunteer and charitable program, Speed the Light (STL). The Speed the Light program provides essential equipment (airplanes, cars, vans, motorcycles, bicycles, trucks, buses, boats, horses, camels, donkeys, wheel barrows, etc.) to missionaries around the world as they promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Anthem Student Ministries leader Josh McClure stated, “In October, we will host our first annual Light the Way Glow Run and Mile Fun Run to benefit Hillcrest Children’s Home in Hot Springs, Arkansas.”

McClure’s youth group pledged to raise $25,000 by the end of the year to purchase a 15 passenger van for the Hillcrest Children’s Home, a STL recipient. Hillcrest’s mission is to redeem the fatherless and family through compassion in action. They minister to abused, neglected, and sexually exploited children by providing them a homelike atmosphere with a strong emotional, physical and spiritual support system.

Join this vibrant youth ministry team as they tackle their next project, Light the Way 5K Glow Run and Mile Fun Run, on Saturday, October 10, 2015 in Van Buren, Arkansas. You will have the opportunity to not only run for an amazing cause, but you can glow brightly while you do it. Take the challenge and register by September 15th to get your FREE t-shirt. For more information about the event or to register online, please visit Light the Way 5K Glow Run.

“Please come out and support our Light the Way 5K Glow Run and Mile Fun Run,” expressed McClure, “we challenge you to help us inspire and change the lives of our children and youth today.”
