Media Pastor at Butterfield Church Steps Down to Pursue Used Auto Sales

Media & Discipleship Pastors Ryan and Tiffany Rose stepped down from their positions at Butterfield Church in Van Buren, Arkansas on Sunday, March 15, 2015 to pursue a business of buying and selling used vehicles.

After seven years of service to the church, Rose believes God has called him to a new season in his life. In addition to managing a used car lot, the Rose family will also volunteer as Associate Pastors at Calvary Assembly of God in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

While at Butterfield Church, Rose and his wife Tiffany served in many different capacities. The duo trained the church’s media team to run cameras, lighting, sound, and the media switchboard. Rose also developed and managed the church’s website and social media sites; coordinated yearly men’s retreats; oversaw the discipleship ministry; organized mission trips; re-launched the young adult ministry; and ministered weekly to a men’s basketball ministry.

As Rose and his family transition to a new phase in their lives, he believes that God will provide for his family.

He stated, “Paul was a tent maker for income in the New Testament. I like to think of myself as a modern day tent maker.”

Rose has sold used vehicles on a part-time basis since 2009. In February 2015, he opened up an office at 2300 Towson Avenue in Fort Smith, Arkansas. According to the RH Ghan Commercial Properties website and the Fort Smith City Data website, 23,000 cars drive down Towson Avenue each day, which Rose believes is essential to bringing in new business.

In the past two months, Rose sold eight vehicles. Once he begins working full-time at the lot, his goal is to sell enough vehicles to make at least $6,000 in gross profits per month.
